After the period in Palazzo Labia, Luigi Bevilacqua Ltd moved to its present premises in the Santa Croce district, where the old looms found a permanent home. The Venice premises now house part of the production facilities - with 25 hand-operated looms - plus the warehouses and showrooms.
Owned completely by the family, Bevilacqua now employees a staff of about 20 - eight of whom work the hand-operated looms. In recent years, the company has sizeably developed both its national and international trade, with the significant increase in sales being due to the opening-up of new markets, the expansion of mechanical production to supplement the hand-operated looms and the development of a whole new sector dedicated to furbishment contracts (a sector that was set up two years ago and is already bearing its first fruits).
The driving forces behind this success are Rodolfo Bevilacqua, Company President and Head of Production, his brother Alberto, Managing Director and Head of Marketing, and their cousin Mario, Head of Design.
Assisted by their expert staff, the Bevilacquas offer first-person leadership in the company; their daily presence and profound knowledge of weaving techniques guarantee a prestigious product of unwavering quality.
