Silk Peony: the scent of a Venetian dream
Muschieri Venezia interprets artistic perfumery as a sensory narrative made of emotion, materiality, and Venetian identity. Their fragrances embody olfactory research, elegance, and a refined aesthetic vision capable of translating the soul of La Serenissima into timeless creations.
From this dialogue comes Silk Peony: a fragrance that evokes the softness of velvet, the light filtering through silk, the precious silence of our historic looms. A scent designed as a sophisticated, enveloping caress, where the luminous notes of Japanese mandarin and bergamot meet the delicacy of Yao Huang peony, and Damask rose, before dissolving into the depth of patchouli, musk, and tonka bean.
A tribute to Venice and its unique ability to transform beauty into eternity.

The Venetian Masterpiece
To celebrate this creation, the iconic spaces of Caffè Florian in Venice hosted an immersive experience in which art, fragrance, and haute craftsmanship could come into dialogue through all the senses.
Silk Peony was presented through an evocative journey of soft lighting, precious textiles, and olfactory and gustatory impressions. Guests were able to experience firsthand that artisanal universe that has defined Venetian elegance for centuries: the touch of velvet, fragrance dispersing into the air like a memory, taste transforming into emotion.

Among the most significant moments of the evening, a live demonstration of hand gilding paid tribute to one of Venice’s most refined decorative traditions. An ancient, patient, and luminous gesture, one that also adorns the special edition The Venetian Masterpiece – Pure Gold Edition of Silk Peony: a flacon entirely hand-decorated with authentic 24-karat gold leaf.

Designed as a collector’s object and accompanied by a pouch crafted from our exclusive silk textiles, it becomes an expression of Venetian tradition and the textile research we have preserved for generations in our atelier. Precious textures, the material depth of the yarns, and the radiance of silk transform every detail into a tangible homage to the art of weaving and the savoir-faire that has defined our identity for centuries.
Taste also became part of the evening’s narrative, thanks to the exclusive signature cocktail created by Caffè Florian’s head bartender, Mauro Varagnolo, in collaboration with Muschieri Venezia: a liquid, contemporary reinterpretation of the fragrance, where citrus and floral notes intertwine in an elegant and surprising balance.

For us, Silk Peony represents far more than a collaboration. It is the encounter between two complementary expressions of Venetian culture: on one side, the textile tradition preserved in our 18th-century looms; on the other, a new vision of contemporary artistic perfumery.
In a city that has inspired the world for centuries, this experience aimed to leave a subtle yet lasting trace, like the rarest perfumes or the fabrics that endure through time without losing their essence.
