This year we have also expanded our catalog with new proposals for fine furnishing fabrics, embracing the classic style of the magnificent traditional Venetian velvets but also including more modern styles that make the new Palermo, Zebra and Zebrato velvets the ideal fabrics for both classic and more contemporary projects.<\/p>\n

Palermo Multicolor Velvet<\/h2>\n

Palermo is a multicolored velvet<\/a> whose design, called “jardini\u00e8re”, has been taken from an original 17th century one and represents floral and naturalistic elements that recreate the compositional schemes and the richness of details and sumptuousness of shapes typical of the Baroque style.<\/p>\n

It is proposed in two color variants: petrolio<\/em>, a very refined combination of blue with warm neutral tones tending to bronze and brown on a beige background, whose reflections are softly accentuated by the brightness of the silk pile.<\/p>\n

Palermo Velvet – Multicolored<\/p>\n

The other variant named multicolored<\/em> proposes, still on a beige background, elegant light and dark neutral tones with accents in blue and hibiscus that emerge like precious gems from the rich design. These colors are emphasized and softened by the shiny effects of the velvet.<\/p>\n

The motif of the Palermo velvet<\/a> develops vertically with modules defined by a succession of leaves, flowers and sinuous shoots that frame elegant floral compositions. This design, part of our historical archive which counts more than 3,500 subjects, is inspired by jardini\u00e8re<\/em> velvets, the pride of the Genoese silk factories of the late 17th-early 18th century, characterized by the presence of luxuriant polychrome plant and floral themes, much appreciated not only in Italy, but also abroad, especially in England where they were used almost exclusively for interior decoration, given the width of the decorative motifs.<\/p>\n

Zebra Animalier Velvets<\/h2>\n

Furnishing fabrics in animalier patterns gives an exotic and fascinating touch to interiors in a graceful way thanks to a few elements such as a sofa or cushions, or in a more daring way through larger widths and bold combinations. In any case, these patterns are a classic beloved by the world’s most famous interior designers. And velvet, with its softness and silkiness enhances their characteristics.<\/p>\n

In our catalog, you can find animalier velvets<\/a> with different patterns: tiger, leopard, python, crocodile and tortoise. Also zebra , in the handmade Zebra cut velvet<\/a> and, from today, this pattern is also available in two new versions made with mechanical looms, with a modern allure and optical charm, both with silk and cotton pile: the Zebrato velvet<\/a> and the Zebra velvet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Palermo velluto multicolore<\/h2>

Palermo \u00e8 un velluto multicolore<\/a> il cui disegno, detto \u201ca giardino\u201d, \u00e8 stato ripreso da un originale del XVII secolo e riproduce elementi floreali e naturalistici che ripropongono gli schemi compositivi e la ricchezza di dettagli e sontuosit\u00e0 delle forme tipici del Barocco.<\/p>

Viene proposto in due varianti colore: il petrolio, un raffinatissimo abbinamento di azzurro con calde tonalit\u00e0 neutre tendenti al bronzo e al marrone su fondo beige, i cui riflessi sono morbidamente accentuati dalla lucentezza del pelo di seta.<\/p>

L\u2019altra variante propone, sempre su fondo beige, eleganti tonalit\u00e0 neutre chiare e scure con accenti in azzurro e ibisco che emergono come gemme preziose dal ricco disegno, cromie sottolineate e sfumate dai giochi luminosi del velluto.<\/p>

Il motivo del velluto Palermo<\/a> si sviluppa in verticale con moduli definiti da un susseguirsi di foglie, fiori e tralci sinuosi che incorniciano eleganti composizioni floreali. Questo disegno, parte del nostro archivio storico che conta pi\u00f9 di 3.500 soggetti, si ispira ai velluti a giardino<\/em>, vanto delle seterie genovesi della fine del XVII-inizi del XVIII secolo, caratterizzati dalla presenza di lussureggianti temi vegetai e floreali policromi, molto apprezzati non solo in Italia, ma anche all\u2019estero, in modo particolare in Inghilterra dove venivano utilizzati quasi esclusivamente per l\u2019arredo di interni, data l\u2019ampiezza dei motivi decorativi.<\/p>
