Polychrome velvets are a masterpiece of art and technique that have allowed craftsmen creativity to take the sublime form of these soft, precious fabrics. \u201cFresie\u201d, in particular, is an example of \u201cjardini\u00e8re\u201d velvets of rare beauty: we present it to you.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cJardini\u00e8re\u201d Velvets and the Multicolor Red Fresie Velvet<\/h2>\n

Fresie silk velvet<\/a> combines elegance and preciousness: it charms through the harmony of its colors and the richly detailed design.<\/p>\n

Like many multicolored velvets<\/a>, it evokes the typical compositions of very elaborate and colorful 17th-century \u201cjardini\u00e8re\u201d velvets that were initially produced in Genoa, thanks to the innovations made to the looms used in the city. They allowed for the creation of extremely elaborate velvets with a great variety of colors, resulting in a successful revolution in the velvet manufacturing process that flourished in Venice too. In particular, the jardini\u00e8re <\/a>soprarizzo <\/a>velvets<\/a><\/em> were highly appreciated, thanks to the intensity of the color tones created by the reflection of light on both the curly and the cut velvet. But what gives a particular elegance to the Fresie velvet pattern is the choice of botanical elements dear to the Art Nouveau<\/a>, with the typical curvilinear and sinuous movement of the stems.<\/p>\n

Fresie Silk Velvet is available in a \u201cred multicolor\u201d version with an ivory background, as well as in shades of green with either an ivory or champagne background.<\/p>\n

In particolar modo, venivano apprezzati i velluti soprarizzo a giardino<\/a>, grazie all\u2019intensit\u00e0 dei toni di colore che il velluto riccio, combinato a quello tagliato, creavano al riflettersi della luce. Ma ci\u00f2 che conferisce una particolare eleganza al motivo del velluto Fresie, \u00e8 la scelta di elementi botanici cari al gusto Liberty<\/a>, evidenziati dal movimento curvilineo e sinuoso degli steli.<\/p>

Sul fondo in tinta neutra, risalta il disegno vivacemente policromo, ricco di tonalit\u00e0 di rosso, che si sviluppa in verticale con ampi moduli simmetrici. Filiformi steli di passiflora si susseguono a foglie e fiori d\u2019acanto e a rami di violaciocca che si snodano e si incurvano creando una cornice all\u2019interno della quale mazzolini di primule e ranuncoli si alzano come zampilli di una fontana, con al centro un trionfo di fresie e bignonie.<\/p>
