Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, initially located in Fondamenta San Lorenzo in the Castello district, and then at Palazzo Labia, is currently situated in Riva di Biasio, along the Grand Canal. In the wake of the old silk-making tradition of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, which employed the looms currently in use, the company continues to produce velvet, using the same tools, the same techniques and the same high quality required by the Doges. The similarity with the past is so close that it is difficult to distinguish a modern-day product from one made centuries ago.
